Recently, the single-machine test run before the feeding test run of the first section of the annual output of 600,000 tonnes of lead and zinc smelting project constructed by MCC5 has been ready, and the equipment such as the material conveyor, fan and pump were successfully energized and operated steadily, laying a solid foundation for the feeding test run of the fire zone in “3.30”. The project is the first of its kind in Xinjiang Uygur.

It is a key project in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which is located in Non-ferrous Metals Industrial Park of Kungang Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of about 1 million square metres, with a total construction area of about 390,000 square metres. After the completion, the annual processing of oxidised lead and zinc ores will reach 2.5 million tonnes, and a world-class mega lead and zinc ore smelting and production base with an annual production capacity of 560,000 tonnes of zinc ingots and 110,000 tonnes of lead ingots will be formed in Hotan, Xinjiang.
